Noticed on cast boolits that folks use Unique with rifle cartridges like .30-06, 7.62x54R, and such.

I'm curious to learn what you all say about using low charge loads with powders like Unique with various cartridges. When do you choose this? What type of shooting are you doing? What bullets do you use with these powder charges?

It is certainly more economical to use 10 or 11 gr of powder than 50+. What do you gain, and what do you lose? Thanks

Unique is good for keeping old mil-surps up and running.

You can take them out and shoot them without beating them to death.

Lyman is a good source for lead bullet and Unique data.
