So I went out to their website and see no firearms....C&R or otherwise. Did they stop selling them (does anyone know)? Also, I haven't received an email from them since before New Years and used to get them once a week (or even more often)

Yeah I just checked my trash folder and there was an email from yesterday. It was all ammo though.

I started a whole thread "F Wideners" about Widener's a week or ten days ago. Reviews/comments were mixed.

This thread, if correct, explains a lot.

My prior experience with them was good. My turn of the new year experience was bad/unsat.

Looks like there may indeed be fuego where there was smoke...

Sure enough....entirely different site. Prices didn't look too bad on a few items I glanced at, but not seeing the selection I used to see. CCI 41 primers as an example....no listing. That's odd. Not sure if the site is being worked on, or they've really cut their product offering.

Sounds like they are still adding things to the site. They say...

"In the short term, bear with us as our tech team gets all of our products up to speed on the newly designed site. We know we're running a little thin but in a few weeks, we should be back to normal in terms of having all the ammo and reloading gear you're used to seeing available for sale. "

I interpret that to mean they don't have everything on it yet.

Thanks! I absolutely missed that notation!

I e-mailed wideners during the week asking about item's they previously had listed on their site. I was also told they're still adding items to the new site. Sad news about the company being sold, hopefully things don't change too much.

I can't help but think that, given the recent bankruptcies (which could be strategic) and sales of long-established businesses, there are some dealers who have decided that now is the time to take the money and run.
