Does anyone trap in the Harford County area? I have a coworker that moved into a 10 acre property last year. There is a beaver(s) damning a stream on the property and he wants them removed. Any takers?

    Thanks,
    Todd

This is the best tool for trapping beaver that I'm personally aware of.

Funny stuff, but seriously, don't shoot a beaver in Maryland - that is illegal.

Already found out about not shooting them. The owner is not a hunter and does not have the hunters education card. I do not think he can trap it legally without a trapping permit, even on his own land. He actually called DNR and they said he would need a trapping permit, even on his own land. Doesn't make sense to me.

Where in Harford? I am in HDG and if it's not too far I can take care of the problem, provided I can set and not be inside of 150 yards from a crappy neighbor's house. Season is in right now, and I am lisc'd. Landowner can just buy the 5.00 furbearer stamp, can trap on own land without taking the trapping class. But I am experienced, so me or another trapper is best bet.

You forgot that along came Lou(45) with the old baboon
    And said "Recognize that smell?"
"Smells like seven layers, that beaver eats Taco Bell."

Seems like anytime beaver is brought up on this forum, so is Lou45...

I hear the beaver are pretty easy in Hartford Co. Try mood rings.

I understand they're extremely easy in Dundalk and Essex.

    Try pm'ing foxtrapper.

She'e really proud of her beaver.............
