Thinking about a can. Host would be:

    AR's 5.56
    PSS .308

    Requirements:

    Good company/cust service
    Minimum POI shift
    Weight/ balance
Cross platform mounting so I can move the 7.62 can to a 5.56 and back with minimum fuss.
Has to look good on the host ( to compliment the devastating good features of the owner :D )

The list I have narrowed down :

    Yankee hill
    - 762 Phantom M2
    - 762 phantom LT
    AAC
    - 762 SDN6
    - 762 SD
    - cyclone

I have been to the SILENCERSHOP site as well as talked to them on the phone. That's how I was able to get to this list.

If you own any of these products, please tell me what you have and why one is a better choice over another. Thanks.

I have shot the aac 762 SD on both a AR15 and a SCAR 17. I could not believe how insanely quiet it was. So I went out and picked up a few. There very reasonably priced

AAC mounts suck. They don't lock up tight unless the teeth align perfectly. They can be made to work with a file but AAC won't warranty a failure if you modified the mount. I would look into the Silencerco Saker. Silencer Shop has some sort of feud going on with Silencerco so there is no chance of them recommending them. It is a better can than the SD or SDN6.

I have 12 AAC 51 tooth mounts on different uppers and 3 AAC QD 51T cans. I've never had a single problem with them quickly aligning and locking. Or with them releasing and unscrewing.

This.... I've heard about some issues on another forum regarding teeth wearing down over time, which AAC repaired.

My only experience is with my AAC SDN 6 and I like it. I have about 4 different mounts for various rifles and it has been fine.

I have a YHM Phantom LTA in jail right now. I'll be building it's host next week at SOTAR. A 10.5'' 300 blk. You'll have to wait on a range report(no pun intended).

For minimum POI shift the best is Thunder Beast.

Most people find NO POI shift.
