So I recently picked up my Griffin Armament suppressor and I really dislike the the finish on it. It looks almost glossy. What is a good finish that will last under the heat. Would cerakote be a good option?

    Thanks

Did you ever mention which one you have?

Its definitely unlike any kind of cerakote finish I have seen before. Its very glossy, and looks out of place on my rifle. I would like to have it refinished in a matte black.
Cerakote can be glossy or matte, depending a little on surface prep and the mix ratio of the Cerakote. I'd go with the high temp Cerakote on a suppressor or muzzle device.

The guy who does Cerakote for Free State has done some really nice work on some suppressors that I've seen. Maybe give him a call?
