Still, Frosh almost never picks a fight. His 20 years in the legislature were marked by quiet persuasion based on facts, open dialogue and finding middle ground.

It's hard to find quiet, fact-based persuasion, open dialogue or any middle ground in Frosh's dealings with desk drawer vetoes, silencing testimony by MSP's Jack McCauley, or even attending to firearms facts presented by four thousand MD citizens who came to Annapolis for the purpose of presenting same to the MGA.

"Facts" are not easily found in MD media either.

Re-electing essentially the same MD GA proved the four thousand impotent, as the Democrats predicted. Rally folks to the ballot box, not Lawyer's Square.

I just hope Frosh tries to run against Hogan and ends up out of a job.

Just an observation here. It would seem to me that Mike & Mike came to the realization that they may not be in office much longer. So they set up the AG to do their bidding by giving him almost card blanche in regard to most criminal matters. Without the governor's power to hold them back, they now have free reign to do just about anything they want from introducing illegal bills and make them laws, to now controlling the legal process in the state.

    Just one man's opinion...

MD GA has been doing this for much longer than you seem to realize. Its nothing new under Frosh.

pretty much most are starting to realize...Hogan has no power and seems as if he is just a flash in the pan unfortunately.

If he can sue the Fed, he can sue Hogan and have State taxpayers who elected Hogan pay for it.

True, but the MD GA codified it ...

A Republican Governor has NEVER had power in the PRofMD.

Maryland, and particularly B'more from which much of that power originally emanated, is controlled by the DemocRAT machine. Once B'More succumbed to race-based politics, the power shifted west to MoCo where it has been consumed by illegal immigrant-based politics. Where will the power 'migrate' next, driven by faux DemocRAT sympathies for yet another oppressed minority, is your guess or mine, but you can be certain of which party will do their damnedest to pander, manipulate, and jin-up another base to keep them in power.

Take queue from Frosh. He'll likely signal a favored group or demographic. Follow his pronouncements closely as he will align to a group larger that 'immigrants' or muslims in his latest tilt at the windmill called Trump. His 'soft-spoken' 60's radical ideology will let him do anything but throw bombs ... he'll let his oppressed minority sycophants do that for him.

Here is Article 5 of The Maryland Constitution in what it would take to have him removed. It is the next to last line in Section 1 of article 5 :"and shall be subject to removal for incompetency, willful neglect of duty or misdemeanor in office, on conviction in a Court of Law (amended by Chapter 99, Acts of 1956, ratified Nov. 6, 1956)." Who would decide if he is incompetent or neglect of duty it does not say.

Sadly, Maryland voters approved a measure in the last election that took away the power formerly held by the Governor to put forth interim candidates to replace the AG, and gave the power of selecting candidates to the General Assembly.

It was more than just a slap in the face to a Republican governor; it was another step in seizing and solidifying the Democrats' hold on all facets of political power in Maryland.

It was, in effect, a DemocRATic Party coup. The only real power the Governor has now is the budget. So ZERO OUT THE AG'S BUDGET.
