They narrowly missed tossing out the “Out of State” handgun purchase ban a few months ago.
The vote against taking that en banc was 8-7. Since then another Trump appointed judge has taken his seat on the 5th and there's another pending vacancy. So hopefully that will get re-litigated in a new case in the near future.

Btw, Trump appointed Judge Ho was on the panel in the Campus Carry case:

Yup, the Circuit was ok before but trending towards awesome...I’d expect many more suits to be filed here in the near future, particularly involving Federal law.

How will conservative and libertarian students feel free to express themselves now that they know the professor harbors animus towards them? Clearly she has chilled their speech and by her own logic she should be banned from classrooms.

It's official... we live in Weenie World.

    But, great decision!

Further, "banning" law-abiding folks from CCW-ing doesn't do squat to affect the possibility that someone in the classroom has a firearm, because the criminal-types will do it anyway ... regardless of your rules or the laws.

So, the campus carry law looks to be about two years old now. And exactly how many bloodbaths have been caused by these people legally carrying at colleges and universities?

After the professors were denied a preliminary injunction in the district court in 2016, their attorney was quoted saying:

In an e-mail, Renea Hicks, the lawyer for the professors, said he was "disappointed" by the decision.

"We'll just have to pull together more facts for trial and hope things go smoothly on campus in the meantime," he said. "Sometimes, public policies are so terrible and extreme that it takes the law and courts a little while to catch up."

Unfortunately for the plaintiffs and their attorney, hysterical predictions are not facts and hoplophobia is not a valid legal argument to strike down a law passed by the State's legislature.
