    I'm considering purchasing a handgun. Can someone please tell me what the difference is between the following and which one I need to own a handgun in MD?

    Qualified Handgun Instructor Certificate
    Qualified Handgun Instructor License

    You want the "Handgun Qualification License" to be allowed to buy a handgun.

    You do not need anything to own a handgun
