I was told a Sgt Hall will be in after 9 this morning and I will call.

The list of exemptions does say 'NRA course' and specifies no length, but right before the list in the instructions, it references a code section (3663.3 I think, don't have it up), and their it says 'a case by case example if the training is equal to or greater than what's mandated by DC'

It would seem based on that, that no NRA training would be okay. We'll see what he says.

I got them NRA training's.. So if they take that, why the hell would the DC Live fire course I took expire?

Maybe put that in the Sgt's ear for a friend and see what comes back.

On the old app, under Firearms training, didn't # 5 used to say 2 hours law?

    5. Which requirement(s) are you requesting an exemption:

Oh, looks like there is no law part now.

I am now thinking the 2 year limit also applies to other training being used as an exemption, besides the Military DD214 one.

    And Hunting License

The cheaper/quicker route would be to go through a hunter safety class. Anywhere from free to $15 for MD (with field day), $30 for Texas (no field day).

$25 for a Maryland hunting license

Training requirement satisfied! Bonus (you can now try to get some venison or turkey during the season too!)

google is your friend, I am not.
I just imagine myself turning down a street in D.C. and realizing half way the rest of the street is a GFZ and I have to turn around. yikes. My luck, the street is a ticket trap and the police are waiting.

So I have Texas hunter safety course card. How would I go about getting my MD hunting license? And does anyone think a MD hunting license would qualify for training purposes?

    https://compass.dnr.maryland.gov/

    Create an account
Plug in your TX certification number
    select purchase new license
select "2018 Full Season Hunting" under hunting
    Pay $24.50
    Printout hunting license

Completely online based from training to getting your Carry permit :D

Maybe this will be enough to get DC to appeal to the SCOTUS, when word gets around :innocent0
