i posted this in the competition forum, but some handgun owners may not know about competitions. a really good (and fun) way to run your gun and gear and make sure it (and you) all work as intended, under just a little stress (buzzer goes off, your buddies ribbing you...). this kind of practice is hard if not impossible to get at most local ranges.

their monthly weekday match. show up at 0830, help set up, shoot for a couple of hours, help tear down. fun day and the MD has some pretty fun stages. bring your carry or HD gun and gear and get some good practice in. decent holster, two mag pouches, three mags, vest or jacket or some kind of cover garment.

pretty easy to do this as a first competition, nothing too elaborate or involved. basically you run around and shoot various targets. basic safety rules include finger outside the trigger guard while doing anything other than actually on target, keep muzzle pointed generally downrange.

it is wednesday even though the link says thursday.

    any questions, just ask.
