There have been quite a few YouTube posts lately, so I figured I would explain how to embed a video.

Here is a typical you tube video URL: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hvyunwtlvuc

Once you have the URL of a video that you want to embed, copy the string of characters that appear after the "v=" and before the "&" symbol if it is present.
In this case, you would copy 'hvyunwtlvuc'. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hvyunwtlvuc

Now, within your post you would place this string between two yt tags as such:

[noparse][/noparse].

That is all there is to it!

embed a URL link in post as part of the text

I put this here because I could not find the instructions anyplace else. I put extras spaces in the URL 'command' so you can see the way that works. Obviously, remove the spaces in the URL start and end codes to use this. Note the word 'trigger' is the text with the url link in the post.

Your explanation wasn't as clear as it could have been, at least to me. What you propose to do is to use a word or a phrase to actually be a hyperlink.
Use the little Insert Link icon at the top of the window of reply to thread. Just like you would normally insert a link. The url repeats, [U R L="http://www.midwayusa.com/find?userSearchQuery=trigger"]http://www.midwayusa.com/find?userSearchQuery=trigger[/U R L]
(I used your trick of adding spaces between u r l so people can see it.)

The part in red text actually appears as highlighted with blue background.

Then put your cursor in the highlighted text and write the word that you want to be a hyperlink. Everything highlighted disappears as you type in your word or phrase and you have a hyperlink As in: triggers for sale at Midway

Some of the browsers have started blocking Adobe Flashplayer by default. Do you see a message near the top of the screen to enable Flash?

Since I just downloaded Windows 10, I thought it might be the culprit.
However, I can view video from a search engine without a problem.
