I fully agree. We have to stand together to stop the leftest from taking over this country. If we do not stand up for the Constitution and rule of law we will end up under the thumb of these Socialist/Communists and this nation will not exist any longer. I can't believe what is happening to our country. This has been a plot by the Marxist and Communists since the 1930's. They have infiltrated our learning institutions and government. They have indoctrinated generations of students in our schools. Most young people now a days do not have the ability to critically think any longer. Plus they do not have any idea or knowledge of the civics of the United States of America. I just hope we have enough time to right the ship.

I can't help but wonder if this is what it was like in the various taverns and pubs in the New England area in the 1770's? The mother country kept pushing and taxing until the colonists had finally had enough.
If it comes to the left attempting to take our firearms, you can bet they will do it with UN help.
No real American LEO or Military person will have the stomach to fire on its own citizens for refusing to comply. UN troops however, won't care. I'm almost 60, but if Paul rides at night and the word gets out, I'll be there.

If they turn blue helmets loose in the US, it will make fighting back a lot easier for many to stomach. The 3% will become the 30% and that's a game changer.

Everybody including George Washington thought Benedict Arnold was a patriot and hero until he left Major John Andre holding the bag and his noose.

This is a sad and embarrassing sight for the country. Planning on up to 20,000 or so national guard. What will they say when inauguration comes and goes and nothing happened? Mission accomplished, we repelled the deplorables?

I didn't know this but according to the National Guard's own site they've been at every inauguration. The website shows 7,000 of them just in 2013. (https://dc.ng.mil/About-Us/Heritage/History/Inaugural-Heritage/) doing miscellaneous traffic control and support work. The disposition of this presence is certainly way different. I'm downtown almost every day and it's so strange to see.

If something happens, officials can say "See? We were right and ready!" and if nothing happens they can say the deterrent worked.

Just like my organic home made elephant deterrent has kept wild elephants out of my yard.

    Good post.

Not only have they indoctrinated generations of our children, but they've also carefully passed the torch to new leaders of their cause. They've been playing the long game for more than a century.

One unintended consequence of having liberty is that you don't necessarily think about it until something treads upon it. A long game can run under the radar, because the changes are incrementally small. Then, BOOM. At some point you wake up one day, and your country looks entirely different.

That is where we find ourselves today.

    Stuck in MoCo ...
    Folks,

I get it. We are all reeling from the events that have happened since the election in general, and with the events of this week specifically.

There were those that thought that the election was going to go differently in November. There were those that thought that something was going to come out of the court challenges around the fraud allegations. There were those that hoped for a different outcome with the Georgia do-over election as a last ditch hold on the Democrats taking complete control.

None of those things came to pass.

This week, a protest was held in DC and while emotions were running high, there was no presumption that it would be anything other than those kinds of protests/marches that have gone before, i.e. being peaceful.

That didn't happen either and shit went down.

As a result of both the outcomes of the elections, and now following the events that occurred on Wednesday, we are seeing the most overt and Draconian attack on freedom of thought and expression to occur in any of our lifetimes.

Those that are wielding power right now are going to wield it like a club, a whip and a knife. They want to beat us into submission, and carve us from society.

The purges that are occurring right now are following the script of every leftist overthrow of a government since time began.

Right now we are in the purge of thought phase. They are seeking to compartmentalize us into smaller and smaller pens where we can eventually be rounded up later; either metaphorically or literally. That remains to be seen which it will be.

    But here's the point.

Your angst, concern, fear, anger, outrage are being channelled in the wrong way. You're spending time arguing and finger pointing at people here who are the ones that you need to stand with when the time comes.

We are not alone in this. We must stand together.

MDS is right now on the front lines of the 1st and 2nd amendment fight for freedom in this country.

That is not hyperbole. Our voices are being silenced on legacy media and new media across this entire country and outlets like MDS stand as the last outposts of free thought for those that cherish our Constitution and individual liberty.

You need to decide now where you stand. Are you ready to stand together, or are you going to let their plan to divide us succeed?

This community has always been, and needs to continue to be, the place that brings patriots together centered around the basic principles of freedom.

What's done is done. We can't do anything about November 3 or January 6. It's past.

We need to move forward and stand together, or we will surely fall separately.

Put your grief and despair aside now. It's time to sack up and gird yourself for what is to come as they seek to destroy your rights.

Great post to remind us to avoid in-fighting.

The challenge remains: how do we preserve our freedoms in a nation where half the people firmly believe that if you do not agree with them then you are sone form of an “-ist” and that is sufficient grounds to destroy you, your livelihood, and anyone who associates with you?

Our academic institutions are overrun with unapologetic leftists who believe Marxist activism - not civil instruction to create responsible freedom-loving citizens - is what passes for education from K through college.

Twitter sensors The New Post re: Hunter Biden. Parler gets deplatformed by AWS. Google bans related apps from their store. My Pillow dropped by Bed Bath & Beyond. I expect banks to do the same, dropping customers to avoid being targeted by SJW/BLM. And now AOC saying more ridiculous comments about people in southern states are being oppressed and need to be liberated...

This frankly all quite terrifying to see the complete collapse of civility and discourse in the private sector and from our “leaders” who no have no qualms bullying, threatening, and abusing their power to further deny us any political voice outlet. This started a long time ago... well before the “deplorables” commentary, otherwise Clinton’s based would not have so readily understood who she was talking about.

Aside from complete divestment from mainstream news and all Big Tech, I for one do not see a path forward for those on the right. Instead, I see the left-banning speech and guns and because we are law-abiding and outnumbered by the left in our state and local government, we will just lose all these rights.

To be honest, i am losing hope.

This is an over-reaction which appears to be based in part on Trump’s recent narrative. IMO, It’s time to return to a more centrist Republican philosophy, like Reagan or Governor Hogan. I agree with Republicans like Liz Cheney and now, with Mitch McConnell and Gen. James Mattis. Whatever you believe, we’re all Americans. It’s time to re-examine where we should be getting our news, instead of withdrawing further from America’s national discourse.

That level of passive appeasement of the Democrats was bad news when they WERE “the Democrats.” They are now a facade with that name fronting for socialist totalitarian instincts. Being polite and collegial with them is how they retain and gain ever more power.

i disagree. This has been a well-coordinated hit-campaign since his candidacy was announced and is not clear if it will relent upon his departure.

The media, press, and big tech have been complicit in altering the outcomes of elections and the fabric of political and social discourse to the point where all (traditional) men exhibit “toxic masculinity” and you cannot say something as normal “all men are male” anymore.

Trump stood in opposition to this toxic establishment and they continued to pour it on. It was not his creation.

These are tumultuous times. In the last few days, the 1st and 6th amendments have been trampled on by groups and individuals who don't respect nor understand the Constitution and took their positions for their own personal gains of power and greed. The attack on the 2nd amendment is coming and its coming hard.

If we need to return to anything, it surely looks NOTHING like Hogan.

Cheney/McConnell/Mattis are all war mongers, and only a fool would agree with them.

Cheney was unanimously censured today by the Wyoming State GOP.

The only thing right McConnell ever did in his career was to push through Trump's Judiciary picks. Beyond that, I expect to see Mr Magoo get primaried as well, or retire, at 85 then.

I think a better way to express this is to say that we will lose the free exercise of those rights. We will still have those rights as they cannot be lost.

Right now, hope is all we have. The incoming power is about to turn our republic into a steaming pile of grunt. We're going to need people with shovels to clean it up, just like they did elsewhere, e.g. Poland, Hungary, Czech Republic. We may not live long enough to see the clean up, but it will happen.
