Anyone with a Star B, BM Pistol that has stripped it down and had the safety spring and or Plunger shoot out to places unknown then tried to find a replacement has found it dam near impossible to find one everyone is out of stock. Here is a cheap and very good substitute, to the rescue Midwest Gun Works and Sig Sauer parts.
Sig Sauer P238/P938 Safety Detent Plunger Part number SFTY-DNT-PGR-238-938
Sig Sauer P238/P938 Safety Spring Part number SFTY-SPNG-PGR-238-938
    Total with shipping under $17.00

If you like a weak safety cut the spring, but as is installed it locks in place for a positive safety fit.

    Thanks for that helpful post.
I have been thinking about getting a Star BM. One of my big concerns is parts availability.
Very interesting gun. About the size of a Glock 19 but a lot more weight and a lower capacity. Fairly cheap.
The Star BM seems to have a cult-like following. There's a lot to like in a 9mm of this size if you prefer single action, cocked and locked carry. 1911-like but no parts interchange.
I did see that some are recutting Sig 225 magazines to fit. There are several youtube videos on how to do this.
I think Wolff has recoil springs.
Dry firing will break the firing pin in these guns.

The Star BM is a shorter barrel update version of the Star B with some differences, only a couple interchangeable parts between the B and BM you can pick one in decent shape for $200 plus shipping and transfer not old enough to be C$R as of yet. The Star B are hard to fine but are C&R. The newer version of the Star BM is the Super star. Both are fun 9mm range toys thatr have a feel and function of a 1911 without the hi cost of Ammo (45 ACP) or the firearm.
