Only bought a few this year but favorite is a restoration on a pre 64 Model 70, found a worn out 220 Swift a couple years ago and turned it over to Tim Hafer to have it rebarreled and restored in Jan, got it back in August.
Barrel is a varmint profile Shilen in 220 Swift, has been bedded, the action cleaned up and a trigger job. Wood was then refinished and all metal Cerakoted.

I only purchased two rifles this year. My favorite is the Tikka T3x Compact in 223 Rem. A very handy 20" 1 in 8 twist barrel. Shoots MOA groups.

This year I only purchased 3 rifles. I will have to go with my most recent, LWRC REPR in .308

A very close second is my Savage BA Stealth in 6.5 CM

Also haven’t broken her in yet, but DPMS SASS 308 from J. Lowes. Can’t wait to get her dialed in and then stretch her out a bit.

(ALSO a big fan of the LWRC DI 5.56 btw)

My favorite this year is an Adams Arms 308. It's a DPMS GII pattern AR10. Mid-length piston upper with adjustable gas block. I picked it up on consignment for a good price. Runs well with no issues.

    Hard to choose just one:

    1) Springfield Armory M1D (Sniper version built for action in Korea, but mine never got there). Pristine, complete with all the accessories and under market IMO at $3275.

    2) A Winchester Model 52C that reminds me of my "poorer than a church mouse" days while growing up.

I am 77 and I competed with a borrowed Win Model 52 from '59-'63 while in ROTC at a small western PA state college.

    3) A Springfield Armory Garand that dates to April 1940 and that was built to spec by a good friend after he spotted the receiver on GunBroker.

I landed it with a BIN purchase...that receiver was rapidly turned into a very nice rifle. I also supplied the barrel. My friend gave me the parts he needed to
complete the rifle from his personal Garand inventory. We own a few Garands.

April 1940 is my birth month/year.

I saw that M1D and the Win. 52C. They are sweet!

I must be slacking, I only picked up 2 used rifles and finally got my Model 70 back from my smith. It is set up for across the course shooting with a 26" Kreiger medium Palma contour barrel and is chambered in 6BRX. Unfortunately, I decided to try using the factory extractor with this build and that was a mistake. The bolt will be going back for a Sako style extractor installation. With a case as short as the BRX, the factory extractor isn't quite making it.

Since I started this, I should post mine. I believe I've purchased only two rifles this year, a Springfield Armory Standard M1a and a 9mm AR. I shoot the AR more, but I love the M1a. A 10mm carbine will have to wait until next year.

9mm ARs are fun, but if I ever have the opportunity to own an M1a, I will shoot it everyday after being deprived. :envy:
