I was saving brass for you, so you'll be able to take a look. Other ammo (e.g. Barnes) didn't have a problem. I must have primer caps stuck in the trigger group area and near the end of the BCG path in the new build. Going to have to take apart the lower to clean it out. Was PO'ed.

It was hot and humid at the range - so good thing you couldn't make it. Heritage was fun though.

What is the head stamp on the Fiocchi brass? I want to check it against the stuff that was acting up on my rifle.

GFL 300 BLK. See the pic here ...

looks just like mine. About 30% of mine blew their primer caps. I had no problems with other manufacturer 300 BLK.

I cleaned out the rifle a little while ago and it's functioning normally again. There was a melted primer cap in between the landing groves and the chamber that was preventing the bolt from going into battery. Had to scrape it out - just lovely. There was another that had gotten lodged in the trigger assembly that was easier to get out.

According to the arf thread in my prior post, you can contact Fiocchi and they will replace the ammo (the arf thread has an email address). I don't know why they don't do a recall, especially as people may damage their ARs. My box has a different lot number than the other several lots that people said that they had problems with - suggesting the issue is widespread. I bought my ammo in the same time frame that they did.

I might just use the remainder in my Ruger American 300 BLK bolt action instead of returning.

Is it the brass or is it just a bit hot?
