handled a dan wesson crosman silver/stainless BB wheel gun this weekend and all I can say is WOW, just WOW

I would still take the real thing but for looks, this is impressive and could get someone in trouble

even the bullets in the cylinder look like hollow points - you have to look down the barrel to see the smaller diameter - it has good weight and the CO2 is in the handle and really hidden well

Suppressed .22 would work better. CO2 bb guns won't have enough power to dispatch a squirrel.

Or a springer air rifle in .22 like the RWS 460 Magnum or the model 48/52.

We get them all the time in DC. Trying being the cop that has to decide to shoot or not when that is coming out of a waistband.

    I have a Umarex S&W 686, .177 pellet. That will dispatch a squirrel. Has consistent velocity for 50 shots on a C02.

I can see where that will used in an armed robbery. I understand the need for realism but I can see this handgun being used by some bad guys.

Look for it to be off the market in no time.

PS If you want one, I'd buy it now.

Got this for my Dad two Christmases ago. Cool little gun. Even has a swing out cylinder and you put the BBs in the tip of what looks like a 357 round. Even came with a speed loader. In fact, real 357s will fit in the chambers.

Always feel bad for the cops that have a split second to decide if someone just pulled this or 686 out of their pocket.

    I feel for you.

I once bought a BB gun based on the media reports. A child with a toy gun was shot..

I was stunned when i saw how realistic it was.

It is cheaper to shoot that my real weapons too.

google is your friend, I am not.
IDK about the Dan Wesson or the Umarex 686 ($250 on Amazon, wut?!)

My Crosman 357-6 revolver was about $60 4 years ago, and is extremely accurate. It does not look as nice as the SR-357, but it is very handy and fun to shoot.

Another one that has (surprisingly) decent accuracy and wont break the bank is the Crosman Wildcat. I bought it because pink, but it is a very good shooter.

Honestly, I cannot believe what people are paying for BB guns these days. When I was a kid, well lets face it you'll shoot your eye out...

I gotta tell ya, if I'm a cop and I come up on something like this, there's going to be one dead idiot.

When I was a kid I had some very real looking water pistols and cap guns.
Yet I never got into trouble with them or pointed them at any cops.
    Imagine that!

and the media will be lined up to crucify the police for shooting an "unarmed" citizen.

At 15 yards, I think a cop would have to pretty much guess and hope they got it right.

For comparison, my S&W 686+ next to my dad's Crosman SR357.

S&W model of the 586 combat masterpiece in .177. Matches my 586. Made by Walter. Accuracy is good.
Only ones I keep out. Sorry for the blurry pic.

Air Guns or Airsoft that closely duplicates your actual Firearm is very useful for training at home, or other venues where discharging Firearms is not approate.

Committing Armed Robbery with BB gun is already illegal.

If I may coin a new acronym - BBBGOS. , Battered BB Gun Owners Syndrom.
