Illegal to possess....interesting. I am guessing grandfathering isnt a default with these types of (infringement) bills?

If these spineless cowards pass it without getting anything for us (I'm thinking reciprocity or state preemption on "assault weapons" laws), they're completely useless, and I will sit out the 2018 elections.

Peter King. It's always Peter King. :lol2:

He's prepared to crawl up our asses and staple the Patriot Act to our colons.

The man wouldn't recognize personal freedom if it fell on him.

PS: Thanks for the list, bibitor. Hell of a good Newbee move.

Agree this bill is over reaching with no clear/open ended definition on what that they call for lighter triggers. Also have "no grandfather clause" which is a clear infringement. If i already have these triggers, its my property and you can not tell me what I can and can not do with my property.

His support for the IRA terrorism should have disqualified him from office.

I usually don't watch when people post videos, but this one is worth the time. It is ambiguous laws like this that drive Law Enforcement and Judges crazy!

There are only two ways these new bills can become law.

We will soon see if the campaign 2A promises are kept.

If the promises are kept, the congress would need 2/3rds in both houses to override.

Will be interesting to watch this play out.

Bills will never make it out of committee. They're purely political theater unless Ds take both houses of Congress. And if Rs are in opposition in the Senate, Ds still likely wouldn't have enough votes for cloture.

I'm a lot more worried about the upcoming MGA session because they're going to be looking to get revenge on MD firearms owners for the fact Ds can't pass anything at the national level right now.

I also doubt that they would ever be able to pass a bill so vague. Have to remember in the 1994 gun control bill there were ceos on board such as Bill Ruger, I think the important thing is to get the democrats and Rinos out of congress in 2018 and elect some more libertarian leaning members, in any case as I highly doubt the 240 members of the republican wing of congress are going to jump on a bill such as that. They don't want to lock up law abiding citizens for 5 years when they have trouble locking up the criminals.

And.....You really think President Donald J. Trump would sign anything to do with this bill? NOPE

These bills aren't intended to become law in the next year or two. They're campaign fodder for 2018 Congressional elections and the 2020 Presidential race. I think they're also intended to serve as a template for D-dominated state legislatures.
