Approved in less then 24 hrs, my HQL arrived a week later. Only reason I think it went so fast is because I have a “wear and carry” permit for my career.

I submitted for a guy at work last week, he has received his card already and I filled out the online paperwork for him and he purchased a pistol yesterday. Way different than when I got mine

I broke down and applied...complete waste of $126.00 ($76 to MD Livescan for prints and $50 application fee)

Sent prints and submitted app 3/16 and still showing all unchecked except for application / license fee.

I've been seeing more and more people over pay for their LiveScan prints.
Absolute Investigative Services only charges $50. They have a few locations throughout Maryland.

Just a heads up for anyone who may be interested in saving some money. (I am not affiliated with them in any way, shape, or form.)

Applied 3/6 ... Still pending approval

Looks like I just missed this Wednesday when they processed applications ... I hope. No feedback on missing docs or questions.

    Lady at MDSP said

It kinda depends on how common your name is. Unfortunately for me a repeat felon with 10 pages of unsavory acts on the MD judicial case search has a very similar name as mine. She (MDSP) said they have to research every judicial case with a similar name to the applicant in order to verify you're not a douche. I support them in their work. Still got mine in less than a couple weeks. Besides, what's the rush other than your own instant gratification??? There's some security in knowing they take this shtuff seriously and that YOU get the card and NOT someone with your name. Peace out bros
