Thanks to a couple of MDS members.
My pig hunter set-up has come to fruition.
Polytech m14s( 308)
ATN Thor-4 thermal optic
Rms shield as backup sight.
I’m planning to take this rig pig hunting in North Carolina this spring.
What did you use for the mount?
Q
Used a Springfield armory generation 1 scope mount.
30mm medium height rings. I didn’t use the rings that came with the optic. They were too high.
The RMS shield is mounted on a pic rail adapter. Then mounted on the pic rail on the front scope ring.

That thing is sweet!!! Only upgrade I would recommend is a can hanging off the front.
Rig is a beaut - successful huntin’!
What part of N.C.? Kinda ironic as I settled in WNC and now I’m itching to go back to SW FL to hunt them (“grass is always greener....” hahaha! )
Central NC.. near the Neuse River.
It’s a guided hunt.
Yeah, that’s 4+ hrs away; I was gonna offer a range out to 300 yds if you needed it once you get here. I’ll likely only be able to do guided down in FL myself . . .
Have a helluva successful hunt!
Do those scopes have any delay? Like, could you replace night vision with it for navigation?
