Everyone for the most part we live in a free country more then most. Be sympathetic to all those who are not like you. They stone people who are not like you(the Taliban). We do all have are differences but that is what makes this country the best in the world. Were by virtue of race, religion, or creed we are all created equal. The extremist in a lot of countries will look down upon you if you are different then they are. Remember that the next time you decide to bad mouth something that is not upon your way of life. Our fore fathers may not have had the foresight to envision what we may be going through now. What I always try to tell people is to look at it from your oppositions point of view. Maybe with the right amount of patience from your part you can come up with a solution that you both can be happy with. With that being said you have to be able to bend so the other can do the same. This country is going through some extremely troubling times and we have to come together as a nation to make this democracy work. Main stream media and both candidates are not good for this country but you have to make a choice come election day. At the very least look up who is running for congress and the senate to see who will more align to your way of thinking. Just remember everyone matters here not just one race or religion or sexual orientation. We can't become a socialist society or a facist society. We need to be a democracy. God Bless America

Do you understand the difference between a Democracy and a Republic?

We are a Republic because our Founding Fathers did anticipate problems like we’re seeing today.

They did not want simple Majority rule to trample the Rights of the Minority and the Individual. The also wanted each State to have equal and fair representation with every other state.

That is why we are not a Democracy.

Please note that we do not have a Congress and a Senate. The Congress consists of the Senate and the House of Representatives.

Okay, I'll look at it from my opposition's point of view.

    They bad mouth Christianity.

They want Communism a system that has enslaved, imprisoned and killed more people than any other in history.

    They chastise a single race.

    They chastise a single sex.

They say they are for tolerance but have tolerance only for their own viewpoint.

They believe if you work hard and succeed, the fruits of your hard work and labor should go to others who haven't.

They don't believe in free thought, free speech or free expression unless it's their thought, speech or expression.

They believe that the solution to any problem is more government intervention.

They believe that the government is smarter and more deserving of power than the citizens who are supposed to be the actual government.

They think the term racist is a synonym for someone you disagree with.

    Needs paragraphs.

Needs to read our founding documents and introspectives from our founding fathers. They did anticipate this type of thing and we have been through it before, we just didn't massively overreact to it in the past. We dealt with it as adults.

^^^^^ This right here, many dont know the difference and that we are a "Constitutional Republic" NOT a Democracy.

Slipping foolishly into being a democracy is exactly how we get the totalitarian ugliness you're worried about. We need to STAY a constitutional republic, and act like we mean it. Ben Franklin was right worry about whether we could keep it.

Every time I think about the possibility of our nation falling into irreparable destruction if it reaches the point of loading that last straw precariously on the camel's back, I think of the wisdom of how the founding fathers designed our form of government and the rules we are to operate by.

Sadly, as some are quick to point out, those same forefathers did not always walk the walk the way they talked the talk when it came to fairly and humanely treating certain people groups. At least history bears out in our course of events from the 1770's till the 1960's and beyond, how we did see the light and made provisions to grant deserved rights to those groups once restricted and forbidden certain rights. Blacks, Asians, Women for example.

BUT, the current climate of Government, Politics, Media, and Educational climate in our land is much like Covid 19. There are poisons that have been allowed to creep their way into and contaminate all sectors and spheres of influence of our country to slowly poison and undermine the roots that sustain our Republic for many decades now. It is how we address, cut off, let fester or don't even see it coming these harmful forces, that will make or break our country. If we do not stop them, it will be through this erosion of the principles that our way of life, our freedoms, our Country and how it was designed to be preserved, that it will cease to be.
