For those of you who attend hearings in Annapolis, where do you park?

I went down about two weeks ago for a Convention of States hearing and had to leave without ever getting out of the car. The hearing was at 1:00 p.m. and I was cruising around looking for a spot about noonish.

Every parking lot I could find was either full or required a state employee ID to enter. I found exactly one on-street parking spot several blocks away from the Senate building, but it had a 15 minute meter, and a homeless guy watching it.

I'd go to some of these hearings but I can't if there's no place to park the car.

The football stadium would be a logical choice , but the trolley's (mass transit) can be aggravating for folks like me that don't use it often .

Is that like satellite parking at work? Park and hop a little shuttle that comes by every few minutes?

I live in Sykesville and public transportation is unfamiliar to me too. I had to go to D.C. last week for work and was thrilled to buy a metro card successfully.

    Yes.

It runs every 15-20 minutes or so.

I want to say two dolla to the state house an two dolla back again.

And you can show your pro-gun signs to the passengers too.

If the weather is half decent and you aren't too out of shape, it is a 20 minute walk and you can use the four dollars towards a cold beer after the hearings.
