At least the CIA is being up front about the problems involved in being held up by legal issues.

Hours after CIA Director John Brennan took the oath of office—behind closed doors, far away from the press, perhaps befitting his status as America's top spy—the White House took pains to emphasize the symbolism of the ceremony.

“Director Brennan was sworn in with his hand on an original draft of the Constitution that had George Washington's personal handwriting and annotations on it, dating from 1787.”

The Bill of Rights, which did not officially go into effect until December 1791 after ratification by states.

That means: No freedom of speech and of the press, no right to bear arms, no Fourth Amendment ban on “unreasonable searches and seizures,” and no right to a jury trial.

    How ... symbolic?

He was in an undisclosed location, and had his fingers crossed anyway.

I'm more disturbed he didn't use the Bible rather than not using the bill of rights

At least he swore on something that actually is germane to the rule of law.

Swearing an oath of office on the bible is the same thing as swearing it on a copy of The Hobbit, or 50 Shades of Grey, or even a Superman comic book. It's all just literature, albeit religious literature, in the case of the bible.

The Bill Of Rights is only the most important part of the constitution, no authoritarian government or dictatorship would ever respect such a document.

Congress finally looking into Brennan and Clapper involvement in FISAgate.

Sebastian Gorka was on Hannity, and just stated that John Brennan in 1976 voted for Gus Hall, Communist Party candidate for U.S. President. Hannity said he'd never heard that. James Kallstrom, also on the show, confirmed it's true.

    Unbelievable. No, believable.

Brennan has been caught lying about CIA's non-reliance on the Trump dossier in its RUSSIA! assessment. Rogers and Clapper both contradicted him.

It's also alleged that Brennan was the one who initiated the probe of the Trump campaign, and used multiple means in addition to and outside the FISA warrant.

It's pretty easy to tell his lies from the little troll's scowling demeanor, shiftiness, and self-righteousness aside from the contradictions. If they were to convict and then hang him from the gallows at Ft. McNair along with Comey and the other seditious conspirators, do they put the short guys on step stools, or use longer ropes?

Good question. Here's how they calculate the drop distance for hangings:
    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Official_Table_of_Drops

Good find. Prepared by the British Home Office, no less. Appropriate -- maybe Christopher Steele and MI6 can drop a copy on Brennan so he'll have that in his "corpus of intelligence information." Give then a fair trial, then hang the bastards.

Brennan testimony under oath, before Congress on 5/23/17:

"GOWDY: Director Brennan, do you know who commissioned the Steele dossier?

    BRENNAN: I don’t.

GOWDY: Do you know if the bureau [FBI] ever relied on the Steele dossier as part of any court filing, applications?

    BRENNAN: I have no awareness.

GOWDY: Did the CIA rely on it?

    BRENNAN: No.

    GOWDY: Why not?

BRENNAN: Because we didn’t. It wasn’t part of the corpus of intelligence information that we had. It was not in any way used as a basis for the Intelligence Community Assessment that was done. Uh ... it was not. ..."
