It's retail politics at its best (or worst). MS13 members may not vote much, but their fellow-travellers are an identifiable constituency in the fleshpot counties. I know - I live in one.

I believe they think because we own firearms, and they take from us, we are the armorers for the gangs.

I believe that is part of it for sure. Then of course like has been spoken of time and again, "gun grabbin" is what gets the Votes and keeps them in a job and keeps the Bloomberg, Soros money coming in to brainwash kids in the schools if they make it out of the womb alive long enough to get " educated"
Plus the bigger agenda, a disarmed populace and control of the state's subjects.

Speaking of which, NOW we have Republican Senators reportedly expected to be voting against the President on building the wall to keep the illegals out.

PS. I know we who met at the Statehouse Monday night witnessed Mike Miller escorted by his security personnel which we certainly can argue will be enough to keep him safe in his travels.

However, I don't have enough money to afford an armed guard, so how can I have fewer rights to my own safety than our elected officials?

It also looked like the armed guard was also there to keep him from falling over. The chemo and age are taking their toll on him.

County Executive Steve Schuh made the announcement Monday as county officials touted a $550,000 grant from Gov. Larry Hogan to combat gangs. The Annapolis Police Department was given $285,869, according to the Office of Crime Control and Prevention, which awarded the grants.

The grants are part of the governor’s Maryland Criminal Intelligence Network, or MCIN. It will include 13 other municipalities and counties to make what officials say will be more cohesive communication and data sharing to curb gang-related crime.

So the Pols send a grant to the police departments, then tout their strong position on gang violence. Has there been any state guidance on how the money will be spent? Is there any evidence of leadership from the top on this issue? Money without requirements will most likely not be applied in an effective manner.

Libtards can’t tolerate the peasants bein armed. It’s too much of a thorn in they sides cuz that’s the only thang standin in the way of turnin the US into Zimbabwe or Venezuela.

Here's another side to why the legiscreatures LUV them some gangs: At election time the gangs will corral and herd voters to the polls to vote for whichever pol they deem 'good." This is true to some degree in every medium to big city, and has been for decades. Hence the pols "cultivate" gangs, even though their public face says "Gangs Bad!"

I feel like every Politician nationwide who votes for sanctuary, for gun control, for no border wall and for not allowing
ICE to deport these criminals should first get these news reports piling up on their desks, then have these vermin infest their homes like rats. Then let's see how they do as disarmed regular Joe and Jane public.

They don't care. All they care about is getting re-elected.
