They are surprisingly great shooting guns. I have a regular 43, and despite it being super tiny it is very comfortable and easy to shoot. I'm in the market for a 43X with the 15 round mags when things finally settle down with guns again.

what's the difference between that and the 43? obviously mag capacity, but is it the same otherwise?

I love mine. Best advice to anyone that currently has a 43 is to buy a 48 frame for $100 and you have the best of both worlds. That’s what I did. Now I can switch back and forth between the smaller 43 and the nicer shooting 43X when I want.

I agree. I was not expecting it to shoot that well.

I think the only con is the mag is single stack; can't just shove a G26/19/17 mag in it.

    But I still want one.
I did a whole thread here with my upgrades. Look for it.
Shield arms makes metal, 15 round mags.
Single stack pistols are the only way to go for IWB
Also fits nicely in my little tether lock box I keep under the seat.

    Linky?

(I ask as we’re up to two 43’s in our hshld, at present ... )

    Thx in advance!

Apparently I spoke in the past tense not taking into account a pandemic and panic pricing. When I bought my 48 frame a while back there were a number to be had on GB and other places for $100 or so. That does not seem to be the case at this time after looking.

Keep an eye out though. They will pop back up.

Just scored a Blue label G48 from tylers, first Glock. Very similar pistol to the 43x. Can't wait to shot it.

I had two students bring their 43Xs to their range sessions. After they shot my Sig 365XL they decided that they needed one of these. The mag capacity is a consideration, and the 12-round mag gives excellent pinkie purchase, but the ergonomics seems to be the overriding factor.

Mag capacity? Shield Arms makes a 15 round mag for the 43X. They work great.
