I have 2 Lymans and a Herter's Oil bath...All balance beam and they work well.
If you're just using it to set a powder measure and/or do periodic safety checks, pretty much any of the beam scales will do that.
The Lee safety scale does work. Had one, agreed with all my other scales. Ended up selling it just because I had too many scales.
My personal preference is any of the standard Ohaus made dampened beam-scales. RCBS, Dillon, etc
You do not have to measure every single charge. If you have a good metering powder in a good measure, no need to measure other than as an initial safety check.

turns out that a cell phone or a flourscent light will interupt with the sale..

my 5-0-5 and frankford arsenal cant agree on anything,i think the frankford just pulls numbers out of the air.

I throw every 10th into the hopper pan and sit it on the scale,then charge the next 10 cases,look at/empty the pan and repeat!Works for me since 1962,never had a quib or any other problem.

RCBS 505, which is made by Oahaus. Oahaus makes balance scales for a few other companies, like Lyman.
Have no issues with the 505, and it is very accurate.
Also have an RCBS partner electronic scale. Cant say Im a big fan of that scale - my balance beam, is far more accurate.
