Thank you. Yes it is an original commercial Colt. Purchased thru a private estate (Form 4) with no background available (my guess is a PD weapon or 68 amnesty registration using original serial number verses the IRS prefix). I could do a FOIA inquire and may do so after the fed government settles down.

PD is probably the best bet. But some of those early guns were also owned by companies with security or angry labor concerns. Would be interesting to find out that history. I just picked up a C&R subgun that spent it's entire life in various portions of the Louisiana Prison system.

I've owned a half dozen Reising Model 50(s) over the years and most PD and state prisons stamped or burned their "ID(s)" into the weapon (as they did on Thompsons, Trench Shotguns, Remington 51 rifles, almost everything) such as CCPD (Culver City PD) ,OSP (Oklahoma State Police), etcetera. It made part of the weapon's history easy to pinpoint.

Ruger 22 Charger with a Copper Custom adapter for a pistol brace; which also works well as a stock adapter for a registered SBR as is this one. :D

Sorry, I posted this in the wrong thread.

After 10 months of waiting, Molly (Gemtech) Mutimount and Oliver (SilencerCo) Octane45HD (yeah I know, sounds like porn names) are pleased to announce the arrival of a new bouncing baby Bowers BITTY. At only 2.8" long and weighing in at 2.6oz the little tyke is doing just fine. Family is home and doing well...in my safe. Will feed the little BITTY some 22lr later tonight if I get a chance and see how it gets along with Mr. Ruger the III and Mr. Bobcat 21a.

FYI, the BITTY and the box are the same size as a 50rnd box of 22lr.

I can't wait to hear what you think of the Bitty.

It is louder than I thought on pistols. The shorter the barrel the louder it is. Pretty quiet on rifles. Not necessarily as quiet as say a 22Sparrow or Axium but, not bad.

Will have it at the MG Show at AGC this Sunday.

Finished drilling the holes and test fired my Form 1 .30 cal suppressor. Might have drilled the holes a bit too large, not as quiet as I had hoped for but certainly don’t need ear pro. And no baffle strikes!

Nice! At that size/weight, it would be good on a pistol. Is it aluminum?

Is it safe to say that after 108 pages this is the first Hi Point in the NFA picture thread?

Its a standard 995 that i sent out to be threaded with an Amtac Hornet over the barrel suppressor. In hindsight, i wish i had the barrel shortened to just over 16” too
