What are people recently experiencing with renewals? How long from submission to decision?

About 4 weeks and I submitted mine only about 12 days before expiration. No interviews or calls. Made another case for restriction removal but no dice. Off to the HPRB again if it even exists by then.

What specific form is reqd for renewal?
Is it the same as the original application, but you check the "renewal" box?

Everything the same except you don’t need to do fingerprints. Send new photos. Fill out same app and justify your G&S.

Under Republican Governors 2 to 4 weeks, under Democrat Governors 90 days. If you were a couple days late submitting your renewal (90 business days) permit would not show up till it had been in the system 90 business days. Hogan's renewal was 2 weeks for my last one. Funny my renewal for a my Pennsylvania permit was 5 days total, go figure. I'm always thinking to myself "Why do I live here?". Chris

2 weeks for me... sent in original package like I did for an initial permit. Back then I still had to redo fingerprints too. UGH.

You also need to do the renewal training. Pay all the fees, etc.

Mine is coming up later this year for renewal also. I had thought about becoming an NRA instructor to get around the renewal training requirement also, but you have to be a certified instructor for at least a year.

Any word on renewing online? I had read MSP was working on initial online application process.
