Thanks for the replies guys. There's a pretty strong consensus here. Plenty to look over when I get back. I loaded up 6 32 rounders this morning. What a pain in the rump! :o

I tried to read all the posts to this thread and click on all the links as not to repeat what others have already stated. However I didn't see anyone mention the ONLY loader that works well with the 9mm Colt SMG style magazines.

Because the opening is so wide on the top of the 9mm Colt magazines and each round gets loaded in alternating sides (much like the AR-15 style magazines but much wider) the PISTOL Maglula Uplula, that works fantastic on standard pistol mags, doesn't work worth a crap on the 9mm Colt mags.

Hands down, this will be the new standard if ETS can price it properly. Announced at SHOT show this past week.

That's pretty slick but if you need one for every different caliber that could get pricy, and since he seemed to keep emphasizing that was for 9mm I'm guessing at least that prototype is. Hopefully it can be improved to have a switchable upper part to use with the main body of the loader.

    Check post 18.

To the OP, pistol mag loaders do not work well on Colt SMG mags. I know because I tried. Those buggers are a pita. It is almost impossible to get the 31st and 32nd round in.

    Wife loves this one

    https://www.amazon.com/Magload-Univ...coding=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=3GSY3NE9VR1F1BT9K9RW

I have used it for my 9mm ar with 32 roung mags but now i only load 25 rounds in em . Less jams and only 1 box for 2 mags

You must be using Glock mags. The MagLula does not fit my 9MM Colt AR mags.

This is the loader you need for the Colt style mags http://ads.midwayusa.com/product/855269/maglula-magazine-loader-and-unloader-colt-smg-ar-15-9mm-luger?cm_mmc=pf_ci_google-_-Shooting+-+Range+Accessories-_-Maglula-_-855269&gclid=Cj0KEQiAzZHEBRD0ivi9_pDzgYMBEiQAtvxt-MjnE8T5Z4KAndMzYcGy7UEf4GAvrYzlt4MsXjL18ukaAh4c8P8HAQ

Would you mind posting a video. I would like to see what you have and how it works. I haven't had any success using a MagLula on my Colt mags.

    Winner.

Saw a video of a similar product a year or so ago, but it only worked for rifle mags.

This is so simple, I hope there are some competitors.

The only thing, the several videos I have seen of it, they don't say how it works on double stack designs. Of course, ETS doesn't want to divulge their secrets but using it on one of their translucent magazines would be easy to figure out.

I guess the people making the videos don't want to bite the hands that feed them.

Another vote for the Maglula Uplula. One of the best accessories I have ever bought. My fingers thank me every time I use it to lead magazines!
