Seems I'm always voting for the lesser of two evils.

Hogan apparently thinks he doesn't need the 2A votes. He should remember that the only won by 65,000 votes last time and I bet theres at least that many Maryland, single issue, 2A voters.

There are even more people who would have been alienated and voted for Jealous if he hadn't.

    Rock and a hard place.

Voting for lesser of two evils is to elect the lesser of two evils. That's the reality. Face it and embrace it.

I watched some videos of Jealous at parades. People need to take a breath and face how many lefties are in Maryland. If Jealous comes across with a personality/energy one notch above a potted plant, Hogan can be in big trouble. Maryland voters overwhelmingly hate Trump. Hogan's record will not matter, nor credited for his disdain for Trump if Jealous runs a good campaign. Other threads lament the civil war atmosphere we live in, and people are going to hunker to their party. Virginia was good litmus of what may be ahead.

Dems aren't the only ones agitated. Plenty of 2A and Trump supporters aren't voting for Hogan, myself included ..it's called principles.. Hogan isn't a Republican, Hogan isn't a friend of gun owners and Hogan isn't a supporter of the President. .and those of you who are going to vote for him because "he's better than a democrat" are going to be severely disappointed when he starts signing more gun control and other bills that a REAL republican would veto..

So you would the prefer having both Jealous and Frosh elected? Sorry, I just don't understand mindsets like your when it comes to a situation as we are currently are in. I didn't become this way overnight and it will not change overnight either. But I will not waste my vote and allow that socialist get elected. It is tough enough in this state to any republican elected. So you just remember your principles, when Frosh and Jealous comes for your firearms, knifes, and tax you into destitution.

Maybe he does remember and that is why he did what he did. I doubt there are 65,000 2A single issue voters in this state. I believe registered democrats have 2 to 1 ratio in this state. I'm not a single issue voter and I'm sure there are more.

I wholly agree. Yet, here we are. And let us not pretend that the fear isn't both rampant in, and fomented by, both major parties.

Two wings on the same straight to hell bird.

I don't disagree, but you have to admit that Jealous and Frosh with the way the Maryland General Assembly currently stands would be Dooms Day for gun owners.

If you want to use your vote to make a statement make the statement:

The worst gun grabber will never be elected in this state!

Yep, I’m I’m done with doing that election cycle after election cycle.

    No more.

I prefer to have principles and to be able to sleep at night...And when they come for OUR guns I would expect many would fight back....oh right....not the ones with no principles..who vote for Hogan because he's not as bad as Jealous...

I got a news flash for you...even if Hogan were to veto any of those things you mentioned, it will still become law and they will still come for your guns...and your knives....instead of wringing your hands over how I vote maybe you should put away a few extra boxes of food and ammo...

It's thoughts like these that get our rights curtailed.

Yeah, because the left's agenda of complete socialism and control has nothing what so ever to do with gun grabbing...We should all be good little lemmings and keep our mouths shut and maybe they will leave us alone...It looks to me that they have already taken YOUR first amendment rights..

It's thoughts like yours that give them the idea that we won't fight back if they come for our freedom...You might as well go turn yours in now and save them the trouble of taking away your 2nd amendment rights as well.

But you will not vote for Hogan to stop them????

A gun grabber is a gun grabber, plain and simple. I will never cast a vote for someone who is willing to infringe on my right that shall not be infringed.

I hope Hogan wins. If he does who would come after him?

In my humble opinion, we (the 2A proponents) are not going to decide this election. We are a tiny minority (a subset of gun owners), and I don't think it matters whether we vote for Hogan, a third party candidate, or stay home. This race will be decided by the number of Democrats that breaks ranks (or don't). My guess is Hogan knows this and has geared has campaign accordingly. So don't bother beating up on your fellow MD Shooter neighbor; it won't get you anywhere. And if he or she feels better doing something other than voting for Hogan - I say let it go. If you really want to make a difference, spread discontent among the Dems for whom Jealous is too much the fringe left. Yes Jealous will energize the kook fringe; but I think mainstream Dems will be taken back, esp. small business owners and other folks that really stand to loose if Jealous wins. My two cents.
