I don't know, I haven't checked as I just saw the add and wondered if anyone had handled one. By the numbers, it is smaller than the M&Pc that I carry but numbers and feel sometimes don't match up.

I'm interested in this and the P365.

I have a p365 and love it. I like it so much I just bought the nra p365. I’m still waiting for the hellcat to come in. My local shop is having issues getting it. I was hoping to get it in time for the November hand gun roster meeting.

It's almost 1" shorter in the slide, 1/2" shorter in height, 6oz less and 1/4" skinnier than the m&p 9c(3.5"V1). In the hand it is MUCH smaller than the 9c. Thing is while the dimentions are almost the same as the P365, the Sig still feels better in the hand, and is smaller/more rounded especially in the slide. I like the larger front strap on the 365 vs the larger back strap on the Hellcat, the Sig has a better trigger. Have to hold both though, the Hellcat has a bit higher grip position, the larger grip might also fit bigger hands better.

It almost sounds like these "micro 9's" are as small as my Kahr P9 but with more capacity.

Way smaller, it's almost the same size as a PM/CM9. Grip feels better, more room on the front strap, higher grip position, and a little wider in the grip with a similarly skinny slide. The new P365XL with 12rd mag is about the size of the P9, just a hair longer/heavier.

Have you shot the Sig yet? Is the trigger like a Kahr or like a M&P?

Have been EDC-ing the P365 for almost a year, a PM9 and G27 were my primary carry pistols that it replaced, carried an M&P 9C before those. The trigger has the same "short reset 2 stage" design as GLOCK and the M&P series, but lacks a paddle or hinged trigger safety, so it feels better and more predictible.
Have all 3 (sold off my M&P compact), the Sig's angled floorplate and slide increase the max measurements more than they actually appear/feel, where the other 2 have a mag floorplate that is parallel to the slide right about 4", the Sig's is angled to conceal better than the dimention would indicate, while giving more room on the frontstrap, measures 4.2" from the top of the slide to the front of the mag floorplate, 3.9" to the back edge of the mag floorplate

    PM9, 5.3''L, 4.0''H, .9'' W 14oz W
    trigger 1# takeup, 7# break, 2mm takeup, 8mm break, 3mm overtravel, 11mm reset

    P365, 5.8''L, 4.3'' H, 1.0'' W 17.8oz W
    trigger, 1.5# takeup, 6# break, 3.5mm takeup, 2mm break, 1mm overtravel, 3mm reset

    G27 G4 6.4'' L, 4.2"H, 1.26" W, 21.3oz W
    trigger(polished internals, XP trigger spring) 2# takeup, 5.5# break, 3mm takeup, 2mm break, 1mm overtravel, 3mm reset

With the standard mag the Hellcat is 11+1 and 13+1 extended. I thought MD limits mags to 10rds. Is there really a chance it will make it onto the Handgun roster as is

You can have all the capacity you want in MD so far. You just can’t buy larger than ten while you’re IN the state. So, ship to a buddy in VA or PA, or drive to either state. Your MD dealer may also sell you the standard cap mag blocked down to 10. Have lunch across the state line while you remove the block.

Note: you can bet MD will try to change this is year, and VA is about to swirl the mag cap toilet.

What I was should have asked was is it possible that the Hellcat will be approved for sale in MD since Springfield doesn't offer a 10rd. option for it.

I handled it (not OSP version), it's a lot like the Sig 365 but more capacity. I really like the U-Dot tritium night sights. It's super light weight and a 1" thin width. The gun looks like it would have a single-stack mag but its actually a double-stack.

The grip texture feels great, and I really like the grip textures on the side of the upper receiver (it lets you place your index finger comfortably and control the pistol).

I think for concealed carry it's a very ideal pistol, light weight, micro compact, great night sights. I admit I haven't fire tested it, but theres a lot of people who have.

Probably not unless Springfield decided to sell a MD compliant version that ships the pistol without magazines--then you would have to buy the magazines out of state, and good luck finding them. I don't think they've ever done that.

The pistol is designed for 11+1 with the flush mag and 13+1 with the extended mag. So I don't see it being available for purchase to Marylanders.

Lots of pistols are on the roster with a capacity higher than 10 rounds. Mags will just need to be pinned by the LGS once it's on the roster and ordered.
