    I thought as long as it had a 16" barrel, but I RainerArms.com as I was placing the order (and told them to remove the 30rd mag) and they said they weren't sure either.

    Sorry guys I know I should KNOW KNOW this before ordering ....

    Legal. The rifle has to have a 16 inch barrel or greater and be at least 26 inches overall length. That means if it is 26 inches with the folding or collapsible stock extended and has a sixteen inch barrel, then it is just like any other rifle as far as the federal government is concerned.
