Bought a Remington model 81 in 300 Savage. Goes well with my Savage 99 in 300 Savage.
Nothing like an original J. M. Browning design.

Haven't bought a rifle in 2017 but did manage to finish building out two Engage stripped lowers that I've had forever.

    Ruger 96/22

Only bought one this year so this has to be it....Ruger 96/22 lever gun. Fun shooter and more accurate than me.

Mine would have to be my Ruger M77/357. That's one sweet rifle. 2017 isn't over and I have one more to grab courtesy of a fellow MDS member. Lets see if that one can top the Ruger.

Retro M16A1, built on a pre-SB2013 semi auto lower, Nodak Spud upper with a 5.56 barrel, chrome lined chamber and bore, 1 in 9 twist, with a teardrop forward assist, and original A1 handguards, and standard A1 sights, this thing is very accurate, I love it.. :D

The FDE rifle - original parts colors or did you have Cerakoted (or other) ? I like the slight contrast btw the Magpul FDE furniture and the brown/tan color of the rifle. I’ve read before about the difficulty matching FDE paints with Magpul’s FDE (if that is in fact the colors chosen). I like the slight contrast. Nice builds, both of them.

    Thanks.
All of the parts were Cerakoted by Engage and then I assembled everything. I believe the color is Magpul FDE which matches better than regular FDE.
