I've had several discussions recently with gun control folks. Seems like I've noticed a pattern:
Them: Have to control/limit/ban "whatever"
Me: How do you define "whatever"
Them: Well, I don't really know all the terminology, but anything like "whatever, whatever"
Me: Ok, but you understand that includes "this, that, and the other thing" right? You want to ban all that?
Them: But surely there's no need for "whatever"
Me: Well, here's 3 or 4 reasonable and valid uses for "whatever"
Them: I'm not interested in discussing this anymore. Goodbye.
Sound about right?
