I should have known. I just replaced the batteries in my rhetorical question detector. It won't happen again ;-)
I was going to suggest that the reason the remaining Senate Republicans haven't cosponsored S446 may be because they prefer HR38 instead, but these RINOs have proven me wrong so many times that it's difficult for me to seriously suggest anything positive about them any more. It's weird though that McCain, one of the most notorious RINOs of the bunch, is a cosponsor.

It's an election year, and the Rs won't lose any swing state votes by sitting on it. They probably figure actually passing it, or even just voting on it, might endanger some R seats in the House or Senate in purple states.

hmmm, stand by for another mass shooting soon.
Sad but history has, recently, been proving this partially true.
So someone in the Demorats party leadership tell an aid or someone , what we need right now is another good mass shooting so they will not pass the bill and we can use this as ammo to shoot it down, so thru the ah backdoor someone knows someone who might know someone to carry out this unforgivable act and the demorats party leadership can say see this mass shooting this is why we should not pass this act... and pretend they know nothing about it....
