Description says heavy barrel. Picture looks like a penciled barrel.

Has anyone ever owned one of these FN Ar-15's

I like the carry handle and 1:7 twist.

Lemme guess? You want buy one?

In all seriousness it should be roughly equal to Colt. Colt and FNH both have .mil contracts to supply the m4 and I dunno if FNH uses any weird commercial spec parts in their civvy line.

As for the HBAR I would dig on FN's website for a matching rifle and SKU could be that like Colt they're using the SOCOM barrel as HBAR which would explain the cutout or they could just be using a stock picher.

I think they could be using a stock picture but who knows. Their website only has free floated heavy barrel pictures i wish i could see a picture of the barrel without the handguard or confirm this model

If it says Heavy Barrel in the description, that is the YELLOW light.

You still have to find an FFL that will transfer it to you. That is the GREEN light.

google is your friend, I am not.
Pictures do not always match the description! Sometimes they simply use stock photo.

Confirm with customer service that the rifle that ships has a heavy barrel... and if so you are GTG. They may not be able to post a picture.

The MD HABR listed on the FN website comes with a 10 round mag, not 30 round mag as listed on the eurooptic. website.

I would definitely call and ask... the details seem wrong (I've found they often are).

That seems like a pretty darn decent price for an FN 15.

Another caution about the eurooptic is that the FN website says that the FN 15 HB comes with m-lok rail, while the eurooptic says "oval."

It may be a good price, but what rifle are you going to get?

Doesn't matter what a retailer advertisement says. To satisfy the barrel requirements created by MSP, the manufacturer FN must advertise it as HBAR or FN needs to have used a barrel stamped as HBAR.
