Does anyone have an opinion on the Beretta 1201FP? I know they stopped making them awhile ago but it looks like a good home defense gun that can be picked up in good used condition for a decent price.

I have one and love it. Shots to point of aim with slugs at 50yds, fist-sized patterns at 15 yds with Hornady TAP buckshot. Makes the neatest chunka-chunka-chunka sound when cycling. Love it. For aftermarket parts, look for Benelli M-1 shotgun parts. Did I mention that I love it.

Good to know. The Remingtons seem to be getting awful expensive and these 1201s can be picked up as a police turn in for around $300-350 range, which I didn't think was a bad price considering most of the police shotguns don't get that much use.
