So then the question will be if they still honor Florida for us. Florida does not issue nonresident permits, but they issue permits to nonresidents. (No such thing as a Florida nonresident permit)

I suspect they won't honor that little technical detail.

Also the Delaware AG site contradicts itself. In one place it says a Delaware resident cannot carry in Delaware on a nonresident permit from another state (makes a little sense).

In another place, it flat out says Delaware will not honor nonresident permits.

    Which is it?

if you don't live in FL, you're a non resident, no matter that your address isn't on it. Yor DL does have your asddress on it, so how do you tell a cop you're a resident?

I don't think it would be difficult for DE LE to determine that even w/o your DL since the back of the FL permit looks like this.

i would not want to be a test case.

The only workable solution to this game of permit reciprocity whack-a-mole is the current National Reciprocity bill HR 38 which would allow carry anywhere even with a NR permit.

    Exactly!
Waiting for the states to do it themselves will never happen because guns will always be viewed differently, and deserving of more restrictions, than drivers licenses and marriage licenses.

Deleware still an open carry state though?

yes, but according to handgunlaw.us, not very common. expect to get hassled by LE if you do.
Cross posted. LE can hassle me if they want. I won't go unarmed in any place in which I can legally carry.

Looks like open carry for me in DE beginning in September. You'd figure these geniuses would think that open carry is more offensive to their liberal sensitivities. I guess not. Maybe they think we won't carry in DE anymore. They are sadly mistaken.

agreed, been sending loot and writing letters to help, but in the mean time, looks like I'll be OCing if I visit DE, have a PA res and FL non-res.
