Maryland’s 2A Patriots showed up last night to do it right, and to do it smart.
The WBAL-TV11 news video is sound-bite heaven for pro-2A truth, and it proves our speakers and in-person meeting observers made extensive preparation to be informed, aware and effective.
Everyone who attended last night, even if they didn’t take a slot as a “public commenter” gathered the truth: they live-blogged, observed the press interviews, took pictures, shared valuable information and served as sentinels for freedom.

WBAL did a good job of representing our side. The snide task force statement that pro-gun people are against solving “gun violence” is absurd. They should be ashamed of themselves for even bringing up FSA2013, as it was an abortion of a bill to begin with, and 6 years later has utterly failed to reduce crime in any measurable way.

There are “Citizen Members” of the AACo Task Farce who should never have been appointed in the first place.
Their obvious irrational political bias and appetite for lying to achieve their goals should have disqualified them from ever being considered.
The background of some these unqualified and inappropriately appointed members have been obvious to us ever since their Task Farce appointments were announced.
Now it is confirmed that there is one less “citizen member” on the Task Farce.
But its probably not who you think it is.

Back on July 18th, just hours before the July meeting of the Task Farce at their new meeting place at the Anne Arundel Medical Center (AAMC) this thread broke news here.
AAMC had signed a consent decree with the US Attorney’s Office, District of Maryland for the US Department of Justice, announced on June 27, 2019, to pay over $3 million dollars to settle a Federal lawsuit that alleged Medicare claims fraud by AAMC.

Task Farce member Victoria Bayless, current CEO of AAMC, was employed as President of the Clinical and Support Services division of AAMC since December 2005, before being named President and Chief Executive Officer of AAMC in 2011.
The TF is a fact-finding government body, established by law to seek the truth before making government policy recommendations.
Therefore, we demanded to know here: why had AACo Exec Pittman appointed Victoria Bayless to serve as a “Citizen Member” of the AACo Task Farce?
Why was Bayless still serving on the Task Farce weeks after her corporation signed a Federal consent decree to settle a multi-million dollar Medicare fraud complaint?
The alleged fraud began during in 2010, when Bayless was still President of Clinical and Support Services.
The second graphic below depicts the official list of appointed “citizen members” that was screen capped from the AACo .gov website on July 18 at 10:44 AM, the day of the July TF meeting.
This proves Victoria Bayless was not removed from the TF before this inquiry into her fitness to serve.

According to the official .gov July TF meeting minutes, Victoria Bayless did not show up - - hours after this information was posted here - - for last month’s meeting.
Victoria Bayless has been removed from the Task Force, and her name is no longer listed on the TF .gov website (second pic).
Her name was not listed on last night’s TF meeting sign-in sheets at AAMC (H/T MigraineMan for the sign-in pics).
Bayless’ name would have appeared alphabetically beneath Liz Banach, of Marylanders to Prevent Gun Owners, who also didn’t attend the TF meeting last night (third pic).
(The actual sign-in sheet instead shows that Alice Wilkerson illegally signed-in to substitute for Liz Banach on this government body.)
So Bayless is out, and Wilkerson is not authorized by law to serve as a designee of Banach.

That’s the end for Victoria Bayless as a Pittman appointee on the Task Farce, but it’s the beginning of a victory for .gov integrity.
Speaking of Anne Arundel County; the same Capital Gazette reporter who wrote last night’s more balanced account of the August Task Farce meeting knows a thing or two about AACo residents.
In this case, the residents fanning out to other MD counties allegedly to commit crimes such as attempted murder and stealing guns, to use them presumably to commit even more crimes.
From June, it is by far the most interesting and detailed account of the AACo crew arrested for the United and Fox gun store crash and grab burglaries I ever read.
I think this reporter gets it.
The TF is still occupied by their fantasies of infringing the rights of law-abiding citizens who are not committing crimes with guns:

IIRC, 4 of the 6 speaker slots were anti-gun violence pro-gun folks. Im sure we'd have heard if they were red-flagged.
If they weren’t such a biased entity, they would concede that we are all against “gun violence”.
