In addition to offering memberships, Defense Distributed is now accepting donations. Can pay with fiat or Bitcoin.

This is about more than just 3D printed files. Only one of the files forced down by Washington State was printable. The others were essentially blueprints and other technical data for other firearms — not directly printable or valid for a CNC machine without user modification.

This is very much about being able to share information freely between one another.

Doesn’t seem like this guy who printed the Liberator did the acetone treatment on the barrel.

    From the Liberator’s readme
Before firing a barrel, we recommend heating acetone to boiling and treating the barrel for ~30 seconds to decrease the inner diameter friction, which increases barrel life from 1 round to ~10 rounds. Note that we recommend printing multiple barrels and using each only once. Swapping the barrels is simple and fast: rotate the barrel to release the locking cam. Pull up on the barrel. If the barrel cam broke, turn the Liberator upside down to remove the debris. Then drop your new barrel in and rotate it until it locks

This is truly a case where corporations are doing as much, if not more damage, to free enterprise than the government.

We salute Cody Wilson for occupying space in so many Libtard brains that it closes out their ability to FOCUS on policy issues or make coherent mid-term election declarations.

And our rabid anti 2A AG joins the fray.
Coalition of 22 State Attorneys General Demand that U.S. State Department Put an End to Online Spread of 3D-Printed Gun Plans

Multistate Letter Urges Trump Administration to Take Immediate Action

BALTIMORE, MD (August 10, 2018) – Maryland Attorney General Brian E. Frosh today joined a coalition of 22 state attorneys general in sending a letter to U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo and U.S. Attorney General Jeff Sessions demanding that the Department of State take immediate action to remove from several websites illegal, downloadable plans for 3D-printed guns.

The letter criticizes the Department of State’s failure to mitigate the harms of its settlement with Defense Distributed, an online company that was authorized by the federal government to post plans for 3D-printed guns online. Last week, a multistate lawsuit filed by 9 state attorneys general seeking to stop the Department of State’s action won a temporary restraining order from a federal judge in Seattle, blocking the publication of downloadable plans online. Eleven additional state attorneys general have since joined that lawsuit.

“Attorney General Sessions and Secretary Pompeo are sitting on their hands while these illegal blueprints for 3D-printed guns are available to minors and to criminals and terrorists,” said Attorney General Frosh. “The Trump Administration cannot continue to ignore this public safety hazard.”

There has to be some behind the scenes pressure from these AG’s to the private companies. How is that not racketeering?

Then if the USAG will do its duty can a 2A lawyer then charge them with it? It might be time to remind the DOJ and the USAG they work for the people, not the demorat or republican or any party but must do their duty as to the oath of office they took...

This little part always cracks me up...

    GG2 employs a horizontal milling format, a 10,000 rpm ER-11 collet unibody machined spindle and has a machinable area of 8.25″ x 2.95″ x 2.35″, optimized for machining AR-15 and AR-308 receivers.

My computer security flags it as being reported as being harmful, and will not allow it to be opened without a manual override.

ublock Origin had them blocked a while ago despite having no security issues. Likely reported to the default block list as a threat as a way of censorship.

    Cool Article from Conservative Daily

Dems Say 1st Amendment Doesn’t Protect 3D Gun Files, So I published one as a Book on Amazon.

    https://conservative-daily.com/2018...otect-3d-gun-files-published-one-book-amazon/

Very Interesting article which is going to help make the point very clear to some that publishing a 3d printer file on the internet IS INDEED akin to publishing an actual book.

For those of you who dont already know a 3d printer file commonly called an .STL file is simply a text file which describes the solid geometry in a 3D coordinate space. The software used to create the 3d printed part takes the .STL file and translates this into G-Code which gives the printer the actual movement commands to “PRINT” the part.

    Here is a simple example:

    UINT8[80] – Header
    UINT32 – Number of triangles

    foreach triangle
    REAL32[3] – Normal vector
    REAL32[3] – Vertex 1
    REAL32[3] – Vertex 2
    REAL32[3] – Vertex 3
    UINT16 – Attribute byte count
    end

The article makes a point to highlight that ANYONE can publish the exact text contents of any STL file and this is totally legal under the first amendment. Anyone can copy and past the txt to a PC document and change the file extensions to .stl and print the contents of the publication. No different than printing a photo or any document on a computer printer, which by the way also uses a type of printer file format and not the actual txt you see on the screen before you hit the print command.

I hope this publication is used as evidence in the case. It’s got to make some AG’s ass pucker when someone explains the fact. These files are basically text documents and Cannot be restricted under the first amendment.

    For the record...
This is Defense Distributed, Second Amendment Foundation, and The US Department of Justice in one corner and a bunch of blue-state AGs in the other. Truly odd.

I browsed through this over the past 20 minutes. SCORE! I wish I could see the look of disappointment on Brian Frosh's face right about now. From the language used, I can picture his face looking like he was just scolded in the principals office. This is great news! :party29:
