Slate.com's advice columnist is Emily Yoffe, who is "terrified of guns".

In this video she offers advice to a woman stating "I want my boyfriend to get rid of his guns if we move in together."

Anytime a relationship starts with "I want my bf/gf to change..", it's not going to end well.

Hell, my wife was a vegetarian when we started dating 39 years ago. If she has a normally functioning brain, she can be brought around.

and "there is nothing as exciting as going skeet shooting... watching that clay pigeon explode"

    On SLATE?!?

    :shocking:

But my wife likes to shoot. Our first date was taking her to the pistol range and seeing her be a better shot than me. :o

I don't think I would ever have gotten serious about any woman who said "get rid of your guns". Just wouldn't happen.
