The shorty is a Henry Big Boy SBR, yes, you have to get the stamp to change the stock. All firearms pictured are .45 LC.

I just got a Henry Golden Boy in 22 cal. from a friend of BossmanPJ, Thanks. Nice little rifle has already killed a whistle pig yesterday. Came with nicks and scratches so it's a "Let's go shoot and not worry about how pretty it is" rifle. My new fun gun. Chris

The Marlin 1895 "Cowboy" rifle was at a local Scheels store and Marln has a nice rebate for the rifle so I picked it up last week. The last pic shows where I zeroed it in at 50 yards and the second photo is one shot at 100 yards. I loaded up 50 rounds using the Hornady 300 gr. HP bullet and IMR 4198 powder. Most of my hunting will be at 50 - 100 yards so I'm set for using this rifle this season.

I had trouble sighting it in at first because I had loaded some ammo the other day with the wrong bullet and sighted it in with that. The hits were to the right at 50 yards but I finally got the bulls-eye and went to 100 yards. I could probably get a perfect bulls-eye at 100 yards but this is good enough for me.

Lever actions in 357 are so much fun.

It really doesn't get any better, versatile, manageable and when politics are not at play ammo is readily available.

Never understood why the majors other than Henry (Im talking about you Marlin) always skip over the 357 and focus on .44s and.45s.

I was hoping your deal would work out. I killed a groundhog with mine a few weeks ago as well. 40 yards open sights.

They are a blast. Different stock angle than any other Henry I have, but I like it the same.

I really wasn't in the market as such but couldn't pass it up. Don't even know what the market price is.

Of all the threads to resurrect, this one deserves it.

Firstly, because it didn't get enough attention the first time around.
Secondly, because after rewatching Firefly all the way through (I've been home sick with the flu), I realized that I had no pictures of my new lever action.

Here it is, an 1895 Cowboy in .45/70 Govt

This 103 year old Savage 1899H in .22 High Power has been passed down through the family and has 3 full boxes of factory ammo, 1 box reloads and one that's half and half.
