    Dead thread revival!

Here is my K Sports parka paratrooper. 1 of 1000 made. The stock was made by Butler Creek and was only made for this rifle in the green color.

When I found the rifle someone had switched the stock to a wooden military stock. I searched for the correct stock for about a month and finally found one on a mismatched Norinco on GB. Had to buy the entire rifle to get the stock and make it correct.

    Some info on these rifles.

Ramline also made a K Sports specific stock for the stealth para model. I’ve never actually seen one though.

I didn’t think I would ever find the correct stock for this one that wasn’t already on an original rifle. Just goes to show that if you look hard enough you’ll find what you are looking for.

Nothing wrong with a well worn SKS. Out of curiosity does that have a letter in front of the serial and 4 or 5 digits after it ?? Like: J 1234

I have a low 6 digit serial number gun with a mismatched bolt with a number like that. I'd trade it for a bolt with a 6 digit number fairly close.

That will prob be hard to find, I asked because if it had a receiver number like that it could have been a Sino soviet, the bolt is prob from one

No letters or anything but the arsenal 26 and 6 digit serial.

    Early -mid 1957 gun.

The Jianshe factory became officially state owned arsenal /26\ in April 1957. This is suspected to be the precise Month that the /26\ stamp began to appear on the Chinese sks. The /26\ stamp first appears in the 213,000 serial range; meaning your gun would have been made about 3 months after that, in the summer of 1957.

Fot all intents and purposes, an exact copy if the final Soviet sks45 design-- excepting the wood used for the stock.

The early Chinese sks are my favorite obseesion.

    Really nice catch
