i've recieved conflicting information from diffrent MD CCW (wear and carry) instructors.

one says it's illegal to carry with a round in the chamber even w/ a wear and carry permit. the other says it's not illegal.

i couldn't find a law clearly stating either one, so i sent an email to the MDSP. i've recieved no reply as of about a week into the email being sent.. .so.. here we are...

What’s the point of carrying a gun without one in the chamber?

If you just want to be cool just buy a Ed hardy shirt and gel your hair and get a cross necklace

No offense, but whomever gave you this info is stupid and should not be teaching self-defense of ANY kind. Call MSP if you have a question.

I don't have a CCW, but this is why I would carry my revolver empty. :innocent0

this came up actually! I asked, "if thats the law.. how do you do that with a revolver?"

"5 rounds in a 6 cylinder revolver, resting on the empty chamber"

maybe he was anti semi automatic??

There was a video on the internet, very recently, of an LEO involved in a close quarters scuffle and shooting. If he had not had a round in the chamber he would most likely be dead right now.

You should get your money back from that instructor, there’s no telling what else he told you that’s incorrect
