Been in a body shop for about 10 years, been a Bodyman for about 8 years. Got NATEF certified for brakes, engine performance, basic electric, suspension and steering in 2007, also about to become certified for welding (mig). Currently a body tech who does collision related mechanical and interior in addition to body work(mainly suspension, radiators/condensers, rear axle swaps and engine/trans r&i’s. Dash swaps, electrical repairs, airbags and interior components). I’ve been passively looking for a change in work simply because body repairs just aren’t doing it for me and would rather get into something more mechanical in nature where I’m not breathing in body dust all day. Any suggestions or anyone looking for someone with a similar skill set who is willing to learn feel free to comment or pm!
