Has anyone handled and shot this irteration of the P365? What's your opinion? Is it worth the premium?

I finally handled one at the Easton gun show. It is about the size of my Kahr P9 but the mag holds three more rounds (factory mag). It felt good in my hand, not bulky at all. I plan to get one for either my birthday at the end of the month or Christmas.

I was excited when it was announced, got to hold one and was less impressed. The sight does not feel like it is conducive to accurate shooting which seems confirmed by some of the initial reviews. Also, the slide stop / release is basically useless.

I have a regular 365 and love it.

Rented one at heritage on Saturday put about 25 rounds thru it and gave it back. Took about a dozen rounds to acquire bullseye. Me personally would never Carry the gun. Now like everything else practice makes perfect just not my cup of tea. I do have a regular 365 that and my g19 are go to for carry. And the dozen rounds that it took to get center target were all over the place

Handled one at the York gun show a few weeks back. I like the idea of the sight but not sure if I’d actually like using it.

The P365XL seems just about perfect, but if the bullseye sight is likable, then a P365XL with the SAS slide would be nice.

I looked at standard P365 and SAS. I will probably buy the standard eventually, but I can't acquire a quick sight picture with the SAS. Just felt awkward. I'm no gunslinger and my eyes are over 50...guess I just want a larger obvious front sight for a carry gun.

I don't see it on the MD gun roster yet. Any idea when the SAS will be added?

Has to be submitted and reviewed. At the last meeting P365s were listed as being changed from individual model numbers to "ALL". That didn't happen, don't know if they just didn't get to them or if they don't want to do it. The XL was added at the last meeting, the NRA edition removed, and the Manual Safety model still hasn't been added and it was out well before the XL or SAS.
