Got the 11-87 the other day and took that 500 home too cause the price was just too cheap to ignore. Both are mechanically perfect police trade ins from PA. Both came from Gideon Tactical in Coatesville, found them on Gunbroker. 870 came from Sportsman's Outdoor Superstore some years ago. Barrel has some serious pitting on it which makes me think it may become my SBS project one day.

A wood stock 870 SBS is just a pure thing of beauty! I’ve always loved them and miss mine dearly but mine had the top folding LEO stock which i hated.

Very nice shotgun, but 100% is going a little too far. Very few things are 100% reliable. Cannot think of a single mechanical device that will not have an issue as time goes on.
