    Hello everyone and thank you for allowing me to join. I am not new to firearms but it’s been awhile since I picked them up and started shootings again. Now I have the bug to continue collecting and shooting. Just recently applied for my HQL as I would like to purchase a few more handguns. Mainly a 1911 I never obtained before 2013. Again thanks for the acceptance and feel free to reach out if your from this area.

    Thank you to all the welcomes and greetings. I am also curious about the 1 in 30 days rule? Could someone explain. Thank you.

    Welcome from Caroline County.

    Thank you to all the welcomes and greetings. I am also curious about the 1 in 30 days rule? Could someone explain. Thank you.

    Md. PUBLIC SAFETY Code Ann. § 5-128 (2013) (pdf)

    From the above link...

    (b) One purchase limit. -- A person may not purchase more than one regulated firearm in a 30-day
    period.

    Md. PUBLIC SAFETY Code Ann. § 5-129 (2013) (pdf)

    From the above link...

    § 5-129. Purchases within 30 days -- Multiple purchases allowed

    .
    (2) (i) the purchase of the regulated firearms is for a private collection or a collector series;

    By law in Maryland, a person can not buy more than one regulated firearm in a 30 day period. However, if you send for a Designated Collector status, you can then buy as many regulated firearms as you want. You can apply for Designated Firearm Collector status at the link below.
