Not up on these kinds of things but a left wing nut is saying on FB that it's easy to make a AR full auto by just getting one of these. True or not?

No. The firing pin can be used in either semi or select fire rifles. It's necessary but not sufficient for select fire.

People also buy "full auto" BCGs not because they're shooting select fire M-4/16s (they're shooting semi-automatic AR-15s), but because they know it's built to a higher spec.

The part he should be thinking of is a "sear".

You can't just order one off the internet; nor can you just drop it into an AR15. It requires additional machining of the lower receiver. Simply possessing a sear that's not on the registry with a stamp will get you in big trouble.

To echo others, I have a full auto M16 bolt carrier group in my AR-15, semi automatic pistol because it doesn't operate properly with a typical AR-15 BCG. Full auto requires other parts as well.

Educate about AR family firing pins. I know about the difference is parts such as those in post #9 , but is the firing pin in post #1 actually dimensionally diferent from typical semiatuo firing pins ? Or is it being advertised for being of particularly well made from durable material for greater longevity ?

Negative , in that "full auto " firing pins are dimensionally same as "regular" ones ?

The lefty saying this BS simply wants to hear himself talk. If it's so easy by doing that why doesn't he demonstrate it himself for the media? He'd find out immediately his fifteen minutes of fame had run out.

Anyone who converted an AR or any other firearm to full-auto would spend ten years as a guest of the government making small rocks out of big ones. The lefty who made those claims should be charged with felony stupidity.
