Looks like the factory tube on my 300rum is about done for after exactly 745rds. It could still hunt but no longer will it shoot sub moa. Partly my fault playing around with 162gr AP pills at nearly 3500fps. I'm thinking of ditching the 30cal tube and getting myself a kreiger 338 tube. Possibly 338edge or maybe the 33 nosler. Anybody played with any of these chamberings or know of a good gunsmith that can rebarrell a rem 700 and true the action? Seems like some of the big names are running 6months out on top of the wait time for the Barrell itself I'd rather not have to wait that long if it can be helped.

Thanks for the suggestions looks like this is going to be a longer endeavor than I thought ordered a 28" #8 contour .338 from Kreiger and they sent me an email saying 12-16 weeks. Gives me time to pick a chamberings I guess.
