Until Nov. 1, 1864, the day Maryland lawmakers officially approved emancipation, fugitive slaves Harriet Tubman and Frederick Douglass could not legally enter their home state of Maryland, let alone the State House in Annapolis.

On Monday, the two abolitionists received a place of honor in that building. Statues of the two leaders were unveiled and dedicated during a joint legislative session held outside the Old House Chamber, where slavery in Maryland was formally abolished.

Both spent a lot of their time arming slaves to secure their freedom, while today Maryland lawmakers disarm people and leave Bodymorgue defenseless against the criminals roaming around.

I guarantee the average gangster does not submit to $500 for 16 hours of training, plus a long interview process. Nor do business owners, well connected politicians, or the upper crust in Maryland have a problem getting W&C permit.

You’re right - the ultimate irony

(An irony Worthy of not only a letter calling it out to every MSM liberal anti-2A rag editor across the nation but, going globally viral, for that matter ...

Did they melt down the Lee-Jackson statue (removed in the dark of the night from the park in Baltimore City) to make these statues? Historical minds want to know.
